Director Of Solution Marketing

Mitch Simcoe has over 30 years of experience in the telecommunications industry starting with Bell Canada and later with Nortel in numerous roles in Marketing and Product Management in product groups including voice switching, broadband access and optical networking.  He later joined GENBAND as Director of Application Marketing and built an application showcase for communication-enabled IT applications. 

He is currently at Ciena in the role of Director of Solution Marketing and is responsible for supporting Utilities to modernize and automate their networks and positioning Ciena’s solutions for Edge Cloud.  He received a Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical) and a MBA (Marketing) from McGill University in Montreal, Canada.

Todd Fidler

Vice President Energy Markets

Todd Fidler is the Energy Markets Practice Lead and Regional Vice President of Enterprise Sales at Ciena. In this role, Todd and his team focus on driving solutions that make customers more efficient and helping them solve some of their most important business problems.  With a special focus on Energy Markets and Utilities in particular, this team takes direction from industry leaders on what solutions they desire as well as input from our Utility Advisory Council, comprised of Ciena customers.

Todd has over 25 years of industry experience with an emphasis on Government, Utility and Enterprise Markets.  Before joining Ciena, Todd’s background includes sales and sales leadership positions at MCI, Qwest, Avaya, and Alcatel Lucent;  he has served on councils of government for Economic Development, Public Safety, Technology and has belonged to various professional organizations such as UTC, NASTD, NASCIO, Educause and others.
